I got a phone call today from my husband telling me he bought me a present today. When I picked him up from work, he surprised me with the new Twilight calendar. I was so excited. I'm sad the picture didn't come up bigger....but it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I have to say that I have literally become a twilight addict. I have read the series 3 times already. I can hardly wait for the movie to come out. I have the book of pictures about the movie and it is worn out.....well not really, but I look at it a lot.

Not nice people.....
Can I just say that I think that Vicki and Heba from The Biggest Loser are NOT very nice people????
I love that show, but they are ruining it for me. I was so disgusted last night with Vicki's smug faces, and her and Heba's cocky attitudes. I thought this was a show about losing weight and not about snobbery.
I have watched many "reality" shows in my lifetime....heck I love Survivor, the original reality show.....but I don't expect that kind of behavior on The Biggest Loser. Especially since it's a family version of the show.
All I can say is that if these ladies are proud of their behavior when they look back on the show, I would NOT want them as friends, family or neighbors. Wow....these ladies are mean and vindictive. Money is NOT worth being like that. Shame on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope someone on the humble black team wins. Go Black Team!!!!!

Could this be why.....?????

Do you think maybe that throw up of a mess on my "work station" could be the reason I haven't had the desire to "play with paper"? You'll notice it has overflowed onto the surrounding area, the floor, the chair....it's everywhere. I don't seem to have a fairy godmother that wants to come and organize and clean my mess. So, you see it's easier to just grab a book, say like ..... Twilight, or New Moon, or Eclipse or Breaking Dawn....and read rather than clean up that disaster.
So now you all know why I haven't had the umpf to do anything but read.
Have a great Saturday everyone.

I"ve been tagged.....
My friend Kristy Case has tagged me. This is my first tag, so here we go. The problem is there are rules.....ugh....These are the rules: Link the person who tagged you. (no problem) Tell about 6 quirks of yours. (Oh to only come up with 6, I have so many more than that) Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same. (see that's my problem.....she tagged the people I would have tagged.....so I most likely will not tag 6 people.....sorry Kristy. Leave a comment to let them know. (easy peasy) So my first quirk.... I hate wearing shoes. I would wear sandals in the snow .... if I lived where it snowed. Shoes are unnecessary in my book....most of the time. Second quirk: I like things organized. Sometimes it doesn't look like I'm organized, but I really am. Third quirk: I have an addictive personality. Right now, as you can tell from my blog, I'm addicted to those silly Twilight books. I'm going to make this my Fourth quirk too: I am addicted to all things chocolate. I am getting better at being able to control my cravings, but I still LOVE most things with chocolate.....especially m&m's.....oh my goodness. My Fifth quirk: I love to people watch. I could sit for hours in public, and just watch the people. It's very entertaining actually. Last but not least, my Sixth quirk: I have a big mouth. Not that I tell secrets....that might be better actually....no, my mouth spews out what is on my mind. I say things that sometimes should be kept to myself. So, there you have it. Six of my quirky things about me. Luckily, people still like me, even with a big mouth, a chocolate figure, no shoes, and my face in books right now. Thanks to all those out there who do put up with me....{smiling widely} I love ya.

I'm a Bella...who are you???

I thought it was funny I run across this website about now. If you have read the Twilight books, go to twilighersanonymous.com and take the quiz. Find out which Cullen you are most like.
I'm kinda glad I'm a Bella. Hmmmm, wonder if Gary is an Edward????
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

I'm done
Well I finished the books ..... finally. Actually, I started the first one again. It is fun to reread it now that I know things....he he he. It's like going to a good movie again and again right????
I missed a few card challenges while I was "reading".....so I have some blog hopping to catch up on.
I sure wish we would keep the cool weather we had for one whole day. I am so ready for some cooler weather around here. The poor leaves on the trees are so confused, they don't know if they should change colors or not. Who can keep up with all the weather changes we keep having. One day it is over 100 degrees and 2 days later it is in the low 70's.....ugh.
Well its time for another session of conference. Then, I will be back for some more blogging.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Just thought I'd post something....Ü
I got to play with paper this weekend, but I just made mass copies of the bear card I posted recently.....yeah, I liked it that much. This is a card I made a while back and love it too. I think it's because it is so simple that I like it. I have always loved the saying "Bless your heart". My father in law used to say that all the time. It makes me think of him.
This card is a card that I was just playing around with one night. I wanted to use my new cuddlebug embossing folders and this is what evolved. Nothing fancy.
We are off to another week of fun and adventures.....or maybe just boring old same ol', same ol'....
I'm still reading my "vampire" books. My daughter said my last post disturbed her, because I didn't know how I felt about them....ha ha ha. They are growing on me. I was told that the book I'm in now "New Moon" isn't as fun as the first book....so, I keep reading {smiling widely}.
Have a great Monday everyone.

Learning balance.....
I think I'm finally getting the hang of this working and still having fun thing. Heck, I'm even reading a book {which I'm almost on the second one by the way}, working, and still finding time to play with paper.
Actually, tonight my upline....ha ha ha ..... that seems so weird, gave me a stamp set for free for signing up as a demonstrator. I choose Under the Stars. So, I had to put it to ink immediately, and make her a thank you card. This is what I came up with. I felt like it still needed a little something, but decided that less is best sometimes.
I decided to put a little critter on the inside to help send my message.
Oh....and it probably helped that Survivor was on tonight. I think I am one of the biggest Survivor fans out there.....wouldn't want to do the show....but LOVE to watch it. Not at all surprised that Jillian was one of the first to go.
Have a fantastic friday everyone. The weekend is right around the corner...yippee!!!!!!

This blog is temporarily on Hiatus.....ha ha ha
I will temporarily be busy......yes.....my family finally got me to read "those" four books called the "Twilight series"....ha ha ha
When my 23 year old son, who does not like reading, is into them.....I guess it's my turn to read them.
So, until I have finished the four books of Twilight.....I will be unavailable for blogging....heck who am I kidding. I just have nothing else to blog about right now anyway.....ha ha ha
Until then.........

I'm good for another 364 days.
Well Jury Duty is over for another 364 days. It was an interesting experience to say the least. I had only been called for jury duty one other time. I just sat there the whole day reading my book. Absolutely nothing happened that day....different courthouse I might add. Not today. Today, we were told that there was a need for a jury for a possible 10 day trial. They said that anybody that could serve for 10 days it was MANDATORY that they get in line. Well.....I had to get in line....with 150 other people.UGH!!!!! It literally took from 9:00a.m. until 5:15p.m. with an hour lunch break to pick 14 jurors......oh my gosh just shoot me. I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but there are some real idiots walking around out there in the world. Incredible. People were just supposed to answer some simple questions. I guess they thought that all 150 people sitting there in the courtroom with them wanted to know their life story. The judge finally said....in a very polite and joking way.....to keep it to the questions please.
It was truly a life experience that I'm glad I had. I still want to be on a jury someday, but glad I don't have to do that again for another year....at least.
I hope you all had a more enjoyable day than I did. I didn't get any stampin therapy today, and I'm so tired right now I don't even care.....now that's tired!!!!!
Good night everyone. It's like 8:40p.m. and I plan on crawling in bed......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

K Werner's Challenge.....
Yay.....I finally found time to make a card for Kristina Werner's challenge. I made a card for it last week, just didn't like it. If you want to see her inspiration for the colors for this weeks card....click here.
This is the card that I came up with. I was so happy because I had just ordered a whole bunch of cuddlebug embossing folders from Joannes and they came today. I bought the one I used in this card....it's called Autumn Type...sight unseen, and I love it. I only used a short portion of it. It sure was fun to be able to play with a challenge in mind.
By the way, I do have to report for Jury Duty tomorrow. It should be interesting. I have always wanted to serve on a jury. Heck, I'm the girl that lives to watch CSI, Cold Case, Law & Order...any show that has to do with solving a crime. I will let you know how it turns out. The one good thing is I get paid from work no matter how long I'm out for jury duty so that's nice.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

Nudity...you might want to cover the kids eyes....ha ha ha
I love that little butt. I hope these pictures don't offend anyone, but I couldn't resist. After all, he is only 2. He was fresh out of the spa (he did have a swim suit on just don't know what happened to it).
He loves to ride his scooter. Awww to be young again. Such a sweet little face too...
It's hot enough here today, I feel like riding around bare butted....but trust me, I won't. Halloween is scary enough without that. {smiling widely}
Have a great day everyone.

Precious and few.....
That title just about covers everything. Precious and few is the time I have now to play with paper now that I'm back at work. So, I value the time I get to play now. This is what I created last night while playing.
I think it's funny that I become a Stampin Up demonstrator and then play with my Papertrey Ink supplies.....ha ha ha. The stamp set is actually from inkadinkadoo....i think a dink a do!!!! ha ha ha. Anyway, I have been playing with my new Stampin Up supplies, and made what I think is a cute photo album for a door prize for my first demo get together this Saturday. I will probably show it later in the week, since I don't want to give it away to anyone that might be at the meeting on Saturday.
By the way, anyone who read my earlier post about not wanting to go to work. I have to admit, so far......and it's still early in the year.....but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. It's actually been good so far. Yes, there are the smart mouthed, rude, disrespectful students out there, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. Although, I still reserve the right to complain later if needed. {smiling widely}
Have a great week everyone. I have to call in Monday night for Jury Duty, so I might have a civic duty to perform this week. Could be fun.

Remember me..... ha ha ha
My mother in law is always telling me how much she enjoys my blog because I keep it updated......and then I went back to work......ha ha ha
I haven't updated because I didn't want to whine and complain. I had to go back to work on Thursday, and was NOT looking forward to going back. We had been warned that the incoming freshmen are a horrible batch of kids. Since I work in a class with freshmen, I was not excited. Yay, to my surprise we are teaching Sophmore and Junior Classes this year instead.....works for me {smiling widely}.
So far, and there have only been 2 days of school, things are looking up. It makes me sad though that I don't have as much time to sit and read all my favorite blogs, and participate in card challenges like I used to. Oh well. I also am blocked at work from getting on my blog, so I can't even catch up on blog reading at lunchtime.....ughhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's a girl to do????
So, hang in there with me. I will get better at this working, and playing on the computer thing. It has also been so hot here and the heat just makes me tired, which doesn't help things at all.
It is so frustrating reading others blogs about the cooler weather where they are, and we are baking to death here in So. Cal.
I think tomorrow I will also post the latest picture of my newest grandson.....yep, it's a boy!!!! And yes even though it's just a profile shot still in the belly, dang it he is a handsome young thing. We are very excited and looking forward to his grand entrance sometime in January.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I finally did it..........
I finally took the plunge and signed up to become a stampin up demonstrator today. I have been toying with the idea for some time now, and decided it was time. I have to say that a lot of what convinced me was the fact that so many of my fellow bloggers are demonstrators. I read about some of the "perks" and thought, "I want that perk"....mostly I felt sad I didn't get to go to convention and have all that fun, and get free stuff. I guess my new best friend is going to be the UPS man.
So, a great big thank you goes out to any fellow stampin up demonstrator that has a blog that I have stalked..... ha ha ha.
Wish me luck out there in the great big world of stampin up demonstrators. Actually, I'm only going to do it as a hobby demonstrator for the time being. I will need that luck later on in my stampin up career....hee hee hee
