Opening presents

After John's Incredible Pizza...see previous post....Rick and Erick were able to open presents. Erick had to help daddy open his presents....Oh the anticipation....I love the look on Erick's face. The present isn't even for him, yet he is so excited to open it and see what it is....you gotta love the innocence of children. Hayden is just as excited...if not more....because he saw what it was.
It's a Wii. Everytime we go somewhere that has a Wii, Rick is wanting to play it. So, we figured let's just get him his own. I think he likes it.
Erick opening his presents now. I love how Dallas is in there watching.
Spongebob Connect Four from Uncle Trevor. I think Haylee likes it too.
His expressions in the next few pictures are so stinking cute.

Everytime he comes over to our house, Erick is asking to watch Wubbzy's Big Movie. We bought him one, and one for our house as well.....grandma's gotta be ready.
Figured, one Wubbzy movie wasn't enough, so we got him one for Christmas too.
It is so much fun to see the excitement and joy in kids as they open their gifts. Of course, I don't know how much joy there would have been if they were clothes. It always crack me up, how they open clothes, then throw them off to the side and onto another present until they get to a toy.
Happy Birthday Rick and Erick. We sure do love you guys.

John's Incredible Pizza Birthday Celebration

For Rick and Erick's birthday celebrations, we decided to party at John's Incredible Pizza. It is new to our area and looked like a fun place, so we tried it out. While we were waiting for everyone to arrive, we took pictures outside.
Here we have the beautiful Amy and the adorable little Zachary. Granpa and Haylee
Erick loving on Trevor.
Erick giving Grandma some of the love.
I had to get a picture with the two birthday boys, Rick and Erick.
Zach hugging Grandma.

Amy, Barbara, and Gary.
Walking downstairs to get in line.....boy we had no idea what was in store for us. I don't think we would have taken pictures outside for so long if we had known.
Zach eating coupons.
Jeff and Nicole practicing..... = )
Standing in the looooooooooooong line. Erick has this total fixation with Heather right now. He just can't love her enough.
See all those people in the background???? That is only maybe 1/10 of the people inside. It was CROWDED!!! but FUN!!!
Erick didn't want to eat first, he just wanted to go play or ride rides. So, Uncle Jeff tried to take his mind off it by giving him his present to open. .... he still wasn't happy.
I think this is my favorite picture right now. ERick pouting BIG time.
He finally got to the presents and started playing with them. Jeff used to love to play with Battle Beasts as a little boy, and these little toys totally reminded him of those, so he got them for Erick. So cute.
Eating his pizza so he can go play.
Erick was hilarious playing skee ball. He would throw the ball, and whether or not it went into a good hole, he would take his hands and pull them back while saying "YES". It was really cute to watch. He had a blast.
E
My beautiful girls Heather and Amy.
Heather playing with Lucy.....well kinda.

This game Nicole is playing was fun....hard but fun.
Rick won the kids this alligator. They were all excited.
It really was a fun night. John's Incredible Pizza really has it down well. There are all different kinds of rooms to eat it....so everyone isn't together and so loud. It's a buffet, so it's all you can eat.....no waiting for your pizza like at Chuck E. Cheese. The food was DELICIOUS considering it was a pizza buffet, and the price was right. The game room was totally seperate from all the food, which was also nice. They had TONS of games and fun rides for everyone. If it wouldn't have been so darn crowded it would have been an absolutely perfect place. Next time we know NOT to go on a Saturday night.

New Moon Madness

Well, I think Trevor and I have started a new tradition. We, once again, waited in line for hours to see Twilight- New Moon. He took the day off. As soon as I got home from work, we both got things together, ran to Target for some munchies, and headed to the theaters. I won't bore you with all the details of the ups and downs the theatre put us through, but it all worked out perfectly in the end, so the rest doesn't really matter.
We purposely bought enough tickets for our group to see Twilight at 9p.m. and then New Moon in the SAME theatre at Midnight, so we could get preferred seating. While it was hard to sit through Twilight again when we were all so anxious to just see New Moon, it was better to sit in the theatre in a warm comfortable seat than out in the cold like last year. This was just a little view of the crowd waiting to get in to the theatre. It got way bigger and a little bit crazy and loud toward 8:00p.m. This is what makes the experience so much fun.....I think at least.
This is one of the teachers I work with at Katella, and my dear friend Christine Garcia. We are both big Twilight fans. We don't see eye to eye on some parts of the movie, like she doesn't like Jacob....she had the nerve to boo at his parts....{big grin}....where I, on the other hand, have always liked Jacob. I guess you could say, I play both teams. We were lucky enough to be in line close together so we could visit while we waited. She even sat right behind me during the movie. That made it even more fun.
Trevor, Me, Ali, and Amy waiting for the movie to start.
Amy, her friend Eric, Nicole, and her BFF from high school Kristina, also waiting for the movie to start. I didn't get Patrick and Mary sitting on the other side of Trevor. We had a group of 9 of us, and it was so much fun to see it together.
I would just like to say that New Moon was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G... It was sooooooooooo much better than Twilight. What made it better you asked???? Well let me tell you:
1. Edwards sparkle didn't look like glitter or sweat on his face.
2.No awkward acting moments from Kristen Stewart.
3.Jacob's body was just NOT hard to look at at all!!!
4.It actually followed the book better than Twilight did.

5. The wolves were believable when they transformed.

6.You didn't have a chance to miss Edward, because he was all through the movie.

7. I cried in three parts....yes, I shed a tear in this one.

8. The music was good....but then so was Twilight's.

It was just an all round better movie. Chris Weitz did a wonderful job. You can tell they had more money to work with on this movie. Now, let's just hope that Eclipse can meet it's standards. Here's to June 2010!!!!!!

Have you ever had a dream?????

As a teenage girl, I would always dream about someday being a mother. When I was in high school and all my friends and I would sit around talking about our dreams, I would tell them my dream was to be a wife and mother. They were a little shocked that I had "small" dreams in their eyes. To me, those were the only dreams that were important. I never wanted to be a career woman. I felt the most important job for a woman was to be a good wife, and raise children up into the world to contribute good things to society. Well, I did become a wife. 30 years ago today, my dream of becoming a mother came true. I can hardly believe that it has already been 30 years that Rick, that little bundle of joy, became the reality of my much anticipated dream. He was then, and still is the joy of my life. I am so proud to be his mom, and am grateful to him for putting up with being the "first"......mistakes are always made with the first one. = ) He has brought so much joy into my life, and started off being the beginning of a wonderful family. I love you Rick!!!! Happy Birthday.

I must say though. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that my oldest child is 30!!!!! How can that be????

Happy Anniversary Rick & Ali!!!!

I can hardly believe that it has only been 6 short years that Ali, Hayden and Haylee came into our lives. It seems like they have been a part of our lives forever. I say that in the most loving way. I truly feel so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter in law and wonderful mother to my four wonderful grandchildren. Someone who loves my son as much as I do, unconditionally. Thank you so much Ali for all the love you have brought into our family. They were lucky enough to get away for their anniversary weekend to Palm Springs. Heather was also lucky enough to be able to join them in the fun. Being the sweet, kind, caring sister, aunt, and sister in law that she is....she brought along the makings for a fun anniversary cake. The kiddos making the cake for their parents. This was the only picture Heather took that I could actually post....Erick was .... shall I say....all natural...and this is the picture that the box covered his goods. What a crazy kid.
Heather took some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G family pictures while they were there.
Aren't they such a good looking family? I just couldn't be prouder.
Heather got some of the cutest pictures of their fun weekend. I will be posting some randomly through the week. There are some really cute ones, so be prepared for some smiles.
I sure do love you guys.
Happy Anniversary, and I can't wait for many more ahead.

Cutting the cake....

A professional videographer I am not. I am soooo grateful to Trevor for letting me use his camera since mine is broken. It's moments like these that just need to be captured forever. While it isn't the best video, it does capture the moment.

I cry every time I watch it....I'm a sucker for happiness what can I say??? Enjoy.

Oh by the way, it turns to sideways early on in the vidoeo.
