Just thought I'd post something....Ü

I got to play with paper this weekend, but I just made mass copies of the bear card I posted recently.....yeah, I liked it that much. This is a card I made a while back and love it too. I think it's because it is so simple that I like it. I have always loved the saying "Bless your heart". My father in law used to say that all the time. It makes me think of him. This card is a card that I was just playing around with one night. I wanted to use my new cuddlebug embossing folders and this is what evolved. Nothing fancy.
We are off to another week of fun and adventures.....or maybe just boring old same ol', same ol'....

I'm still reading my "vampire" books. My daughter said my last post disturbed her, because I didn't know how I felt about them....ha ha ha. They are growing on me. I was told that the book I'm in now "New Moon" isn't as fun as the first book....so, I keep reading {smiling widely}.
Have a great Monday everyone.

New Moon

Moving right along.....Not quite sure what I think of these books yet.
Until later.....

Learning balance.....

I think I'm finally getting the hang of this working and still having fun thing. Heck, I'm even reading a book {which I'm almost on the second one by the way}, working, and still finding time to play with paper.

Actually, tonight my upline....ha ha ha ..... that seems so weird, gave me a stamp set for free for signing up as a demonstrator. I choose Under the Stars. So, I had to put it to ink immediately, and make her a thank you card. This is what I came up with. I felt like it still needed a little something, but decided that less is best sometimes.

I decided to put a little critter on the inside to help send my message.Oh....and it probably helped that Survivor was on tonight. I think I am one of the biggest Survivor fans out there.....wouldn't want to do the show....but LOVE to watch it. Not at all surprised that Jillian was one of the first to go.

Have a fantastic friday everyone. The weekend is right around the corner...yippee!!!!!!

I did make some cards....woo hoo

Okay so the Hiatus is real....I just also have some TV shows I love to watch, one being "The Biggest Loser". Since it's a two hour show I couldn't just sit and watch it. I sat and made cards and watched it. They are simple cards because I didn't want to have to think too much.....after all I was watching a show.

I don't know if you can read my sentiments on the cards....I need to learn how to take better photos.....but the one says "praying for you". I have a dear friend at work who had a nephew brutally murdered. So, that card is for her.

Well have a wonderful Wednesday everyone. Until later......

This blog is temporarily on Hiatus.....ha ha ha

I will temporarily be busy......yes.....my family finally got me to read "those" four books called the "Twilight series"....ha ha ha When my 23 year old son, who does not like reading, is into them.....I guess it's my turn to read them.

So, until I have finished the four books of Twilight.....I will be unavailable for blogging....heck who am I kidding. I just have nothing else to blog about right now anyway.....ha ha ha

Until then.........

I'm good for another 364 days.

Well Jury Duty is over for another 364 days. It was an interesting experience to say the least. I had only been called for jury duty one other time. I just sat there the whole day reading my book. Absolutely nothing happened that day....different courthouse I might add. Not today. Today, we were told that there was a need for a jury for a possible 10 day trial. They said that anybody that could serve for 10 days it was MANDATORY that they get in line. Well.....I had to get in line....with 150 other people.UGH!!!!! It literally took from 9:00a.m. until 5:15p.m. with an hour lunch break to pick 14 jurors......oh my gosh just shoot me. I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but there are some real idiots walking around out there in the world. Incredible. People were just supposed to answer some simple questions. I guess they thought that all 150 people sitting there in the courtroom with them wanted to know their life story. The judge finally said....in a very polite and joking way.....to keep it to the questions please.
It was truly a life experience that I'm glad I had. I still want to be on a jury someday, but glad I don't have to do that again for another year....at least.
I hope you all had a more enjoyable day than I did. I didn't get any stampin therapy today, and I'm so tired right now I don't even care.....now that's tired!!!!!
Good night everyone. It's like 8:40p.m. and I plan on crawling in bed......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

K Werner's Challenge.....

Yay.....I finally found time to make a card for Kristina Werner's challenge. I made a card for it last week, just didn't like it. If you want to see her inspiration for the colors for this weeks card....click here. This is the card that I came up with. I was so happy because I had just ordered a whole bunch of cuddlebug embossing folders from Joannes and they came today. I bought the one I used in this card....it's called Autumn Type...sight unseen, and I love it. I only used a short portion of it. It sure was fun to be able to play with a challenge in mind.

By the way, I do have to report for Jury Duty tomorrow. It should be interesting. I have always wanted to serve on a jury. Heck, I'm the girl that lives to watch CSI, Cold Case, Law & Order...any show that has to do with solving a crime. I will let you know how it turns out. The one good thing is I get paid from work no matter how long I'm out for jury duty so that's nice.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

Nudity...you might want to cover the kids eyes....ha ha ha

I love that little butt. I hope these pictures don't offend anyone, but I couldn't resist. After all, he is only 2. He was fresh out of the spa (he did have a swim suit on just don't know what happened to it). He loves to ride his scooter. Awww to be young again. Such a sweet little face too...
It's hot enough here today, I feel like riding around bare butted....but trust me, I won't. Halloween is scary enough without that. {smiling widely}
Have a great day everyone.

Precious and few.....

That title just about covers everything. Precious and few is the time I have now to play with paper now that I'm back at work. So, I value the time I get to play now. This is what I created last night while playing. I think it's funny that I become a Stampin Up demonstrator and then play with my Papertrey Ink supplies.....ha ha ha. The stamp set is actually from inkadinkadoo....i think a dink a do!!!! ha ha ha. Anyway, I have been playing with my new Stampin Up supplies, and made what I think is a cute photo album for a door prize for my first demo get together this Saturday. I will probably show it later in the week, since I don't want to give it away to anyone that might be at the meeting on Saturday.

By the way, anyone who read my earlier post about not wanting to go to work. I have to admit, so far......and it's still early in the year.....but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. It's actually been good so far. Yes, there are the smart mouthed, rude, disrespectful students out there, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. Although, I still reserve the right to complain later if needed. {smiling widely}

Have a great week everyone. I have to call in Monday night for Jury Duty, so I might have a civic duty to perform this week. Could be fun.

Remember me..... ha ha ha

My mother in law is always telling me how much she enjoys my blog because I keep it updated......and then I went back to work......ha ha ha

I haven't updated because I didn't want to whine and complain. I had to go back to work on Thursday, and was NOT looking forward to going back. We had been warned that the incoming freshmen are a horrible batch of kids. Since I work in a class with freshmen, I was not excited. Yay, to my surprise we are teaching Sophmore and Junior Classes this year instead.....works for me {smiling widely}.

So far, and there have only been 2 days of school, things are looking up. It makes me sad though that I don't have as much time to sit and read all my favorite blogs, and participate in card challenges like I used to. Oh well. I also am blocked at work from getting on my blog, so I can't even catch up on blog reading at lunchtime.....ughhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's a girl to do????

So, hang in there with me. I will get better at this working, and playing on the computer thing. It has also been so hot here and the heat just makes me tired, which doesn't help things at all.
It is so frustrating reading others blogs about the cooler weather where they are, and we are baking to death here in So. Cal.

I think tomorrow I will also post the latest picture of my newest grandson.....yep, it's a boy!!!! And yes even though it's just a profile shot still in the belly, dang it he is a handsome young thing. We are very excited and looking forward to his grand entrance sometime in January.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I finally did it..........

I finally took the plunge and signed up to become a stampin up demonstrator today. I have been toying with the idea for some time now, and decided it was time. I have to say that a lot of what convinced me was the fact that so many of my fellow bloggers are demonstrators. I read about some of the "perks" and thought, "I want that perk"....mostly I felt sad I didn't get to go to convention and have all that fun, and get free stuff. I guess my new best friend is going to be the UPS man.
So, a great big thank you goes out to any fellow stampin up demonstrator that has a blog that I have stalked..... ha ha ha.
Wish me luck out there in the great big world of stampin up demonstrators. Actually, I'm only going to do it as a hobby demonstrator for the time being. I will need that luck later on in my stampin up career....hee hee hee
