An evening of Twilight

Well it finally got here. Trevor and I went and sat in line to hold our spot at 6p.m. for the midnight showing.....crazy huh? It was fun and all part of the whole Twilight experience though. Heather joined us a few hours later and then Ali and Amy got there just before the movies started.
Trevor was the smart one that brought an ipod to listen to while we waited. Although, I did have Heather bring me Breaking Dawn and I read that while I waited, and talked to our neighbors in line. Everyone was really excited. Finally in the theatre and anxiously anticipating the movie. It was the first time I ever did the whole midnight showing before.

The theatre was packed. The lights went out and everyone started clapping and was all excited. It was really fun to watch it with a crowded theatre of fans. I loved it when Edward walked onto the screen for the first time and all the girls screamed.....I even sighed. He is good looking I must say.

All in all I have to say that I left very disappointed in the movie. It was not what I was hoping to see. I felt it was hyped up to be something and they fell short of that hype. I have to say though, that Heather, Trevor and I went again in the afternoon and it was a lot better the second time. I am still going to go see it tomorrow with my husband, and I am excited to see it. I just am disappointed that it wasn't all that it could have been.

The books are absolutely amazing I have to say. We just must remember that it was a new movie production company, with little money that made what could have been the best movie of all time.

Still a big time Twilight fan though. What did you think of the movie if you saw it?

Hours now.....not days

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! It is finally here. I can't wait until midnight tonight......how will I get through the day?????

How can it be possible?????

There is no possible way that I have a son that is now 29 years old. I refuse to believe it.....ha ha ha I have been claiming to be 28, guess I should up that age a little bit now since Rick has passed me by. Aren't these typical pictures of a parent opening a present? Do they actually ever get to open their own presents when children are around? Rick had plenty of helpers.

We cut him a break and only put 6 candles on his cake.....actually that's all we could find in the house. He had lots of help with the candles too thanks to Erick.

Happy Birthday Rick. The big 3-0 next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has got to be 90 degrees outside today, but it's snowing in my backyard. This is what you get when you cross a bored dog with a pillow in the backyard......a great big mess......Thanks a lot Dallas.

Okay, I'm just going to vent for a minute here. I know I complain about this all the time....BUT OMGoodness.

I have had it with Vicki on the Biggest Loser. I couldn't even bring myself to watch it last night until weigh in time because I didn't want to see or hear from Heba or Vicki. I turned it on and who is on the screen being a cocky, arrogant, snob????? Yes, you guessed it Vicki. Made me so glad I hadn't watched more of the show.

I laughed so hard and was so happy that Brady got the boot. I can't wait until Vicki goes home.....then maybe I'll start watching the show again. I don't think I have really disliked someone as much as I dislike this lady. Then, when I saw the previews for next week.....oh my gosh.....that women needs to be stopped. To be so mean to Amie because she voted the way she wanted to and not for Vicki's benefit....what a BIT@#!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad that when this show is over I never have to lay my eyes on this woman again.

I feel better.....whewwww.

I had to buy the new Twilight soundtrack yesterday. I'm a little disappointed in Bella's Lullaby....sigh. Oh well the rest is great. Wasn't sure about Rob's song at first, but it has grown on me.

Heather is pretty amazing too.....

Okay, so not to be outdone by my husband......my wonderful daughter Heather came home last night with some gifts of her own for me..... I love it. She bought me a bag with the saying "so the lion fell in love with the lamb" on it.....I love that saying. She also bought me a Twilight poster of Edward and Bella.....gotta find somewhere to put that.....and soon. She got me a Team Edward pin, and a sticker of Edward and Bella. So, while she comments on my obsession.....she also feeds it. So thank you Heather.....I love you much.

I have an awesome husband....

I got a phone call today from my husband telling me he bought me a present today. When I picked him up from work, he surprised me with the new Twilight calendar. I was so excited. I'm sad the picture didn't come up bigger....but it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I have to say that I have literally become a twilight addict. I have read the series 3 times already. I can hardly wait for the movie to come out. I have the book of pictures about the movie and it is worn out.....well not really, but I look at it a lot.

I know I'm not the only addict out there.....is it November 21st yet?????

Can I just say that I think that Vicki and Heba from The Biggest Loser are NOT very nice people????

I love that show, but they are ruining it for me. I was so disgusted last night with Vicki's smug faces, and her and Heba's cocky attitudes. I thought this was a show about losing weight and not about snobbery.

I have watched many "reality" shows in my lifetime....heck I love Survivor, the original reality show.....but I don't expect that kind of behavior on The Biggest Loser. Especially since it's a family version of the show.

All I can say is that if these ladies are proud of their behavior when they look back on the show, I would NOT want them as friends, family or neighbors. Wow....these ladies are mean and vindictive. Money is NOT worth being like that. Shame on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope someone on the humble black team wins. Go Black Team!!!!!

Could this be why.....?????

Do you think maybe that throw up of a mess on my "work station" could be the reason I haven't had the desire to "play with paper"? You'll notice it has overflowed onto the surrounding area, the floor, the chair....it's everywhere. I don't seem to have a fairy godmother that wants to come and organize and clean my mess. So, you see it's easier to just grab a book, say like ..... Twilight, or New Moon, or Eclipse or Breaking Dawn....and read rather than clean up that disaster.

So now you all know why I haven't had the umpf to do anything but read.

I hate wearing shoes. I would wear sandals in the snow .... if I lived where it snowed. Shoes are unnecessary in my book....most of the time. Second quirk: I like things organized. Sometimes it doesn't look like I'm organized, but I really am. Third quirk: I have an addictive personality. Right now, as you can tell from my blog, I'm addicted to those silly Twilight books. I'm going to make this my Fourth quirk too: I am addicted to all things chocolate. I am getting better at being able to control my cravings, but I still LOVE most things with chocolate.....especially m&m's.....oh my goodness. My Fifth quirk: I love to people watch. I could sit for hours in public, and just watch the people. It's very entertaining actually. Last but not least, my Sixth quirk: I have a big mouth. Not that I tell secrets....that might be better actually....no, my mouth spews out what is on my mind. I say things that sometimes should be kept to myself. So, there you have it. Six of my quirky things about me. Luckily, people still like me, even with a big mouth, a chocolate figure, no shoes, and my face in books right now. Thanks to all those out there who do put up with me....{smiling widely} I love ya.

Well I finished the books ..... finally. Actually, I started the first one again. It is fun to reread it now that I know things....he he he. It's like going to a good movie again and again right????

I missed a few card challenges while I was "reading".....so I have some blog hopping to catch up on.

I sure wish we would keep the cool weather we had for one whole day. I am so ready for some cooler weather around here. The poor leaves on the trees are so confused, they don't know if they should change colors or not. Who can keep up with all the weather changes we keep having. One day it is over 100 degrees and 2 days later it is in the low 70's.....ugh.

Well its time for another session of conference. Then, I will be back for some more blogging.

I got to play with paper this weekend, but I just made mass copies of the bear card I posted recently.....yeah, I liked it that much. This is a card I made a while back and love it too. I think it's because it is so simple that I like it. I have always loved the saying "Bless your heart". My father in law used to say that all the time. It makes me think of him. This card is a card that I was just playing around with one night. I wanted to use my new cuddlebug embossing folders and this is what evolved. Nothing fancy.
We are off to another week of fun and adventures.....or maybe just boring old same ol', same ol'....

I'm still reading my "vampire" books. My daughter said my last post disturbed her, because I didn't know how I felt about them....ha ha ha. They are growing on me. I was told that the book I'm in now "New Moon" isn't as fun as the first book....so, I keep reading {smiling widely}.

I think I'm finally getting the hang of this working and still having fun thing. Heck, I'm even reading a book {which I'm almost on the second one by the way}, working, and still finding time to play with paper.

Actually, tonight my upline....ha ha ha ..... that seems so weird, gave me a stamp set for free for signing up as a demonstrator. I choose Under the Stars. So, I had to put it to ink immediately, and make her a thank you card. This is what I came up with. I felt like it still needed a little something, but decided that less is best sometimes.

I decided to put a little critter on the inside to help send my message.Oh....and it probably helped that Survivor was on tonight. I think I am one of the biggest Survivor fans out there.....wouldn't want to do the show....but LOVE to watch it. Not at all surprised that Jillian was one of the first to go.

Okay so the Hiatus is real....I just also have some TV shows I love to watch, one being "The Biggest Loser". Since it's a two hour show I couldn't just sit and watch it. I sat and made cards and watched it. They are simple cards because I didn't want to have to think too much.....after all I was watching a show.

I don't know if you can read my sentiments on the cards....I need to learn how to take better photos.....but the one says "praying for you". I have a dear friend at work who had a nephew brutally murdered. So, that card is for her.
